Health for marginalized communities
Marginalized communities are cut off from the rest of the world. The nearest hospital or health center is frequently far away or difficult to reach, there is no access to doctors and the hygiene is inadequate.
Help at the ends of the earth
Using bicycles, motorcycles or boats, our local teams are able to reach these people. There, working together with the local communities, they construct basic healthcare structures. In this way, the people learn how to improve their hygiene, can treat simple health problems themselves, and can organize transport to the hospital.
This enables us to limit the spread of neglected tropical diseases – the people in the communities become healthier, births become safer, and far fewer children die.
