Emmanuel Cour becomes the new program manager for Africa

The FAIRMED family is growing. Since the beginning of April, Emmanuel Cour has been our new program manager for Cameroon and the Central African Republic.

The 43-year-old was born in Montpellier in southern France, but as a child grew up in Indonesia and Kenya. Before joining FAIRMED, he spent 18 years working for NGOs in humanitarian and development program management in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe.

Of his motivation to join FAIRMED, Cour says: “I am interested in FAIRMED's work towards improving the health of neglected populations, and their work in the area of neglected health systems and neglected tropical diseases, and I wanted to take part in this adventure.”

Considering the difficult contexts in which FAIRMED is active, this is certainly a challenge, but Cour is undeterred: “There is still so much to be done to improve the living conditions of local communities.”
